STANDARDIZED LAB REPORT FORMAT......
(mandatory)
I. PURPOSE: The purpose of this experiments is to find out how adding sugar affects its boiling temperature. Our hypothesis is that adding sugar does affect its boiling temperature. The controlled variables are amounts of water, pot, thermometer, stove, sugar, water, mixing spoon, and measuring spoons. The manipulated variable is the amount of sugar. The responding variable is the boiling temperature of water.
II. MATERIALS: Sugar 6 cups Of Tap Water(2 cups per part) 2 Qt Cooking Pot
Measuring spoons Thermometer
Stirring spoon
III. PROCEDURE:
1) Add 2 cups of tap water to cooking pot and place on stove.
2) Use the thermometer to record the highest temperature of the boiling water.
3) Repeat step one above except add one tablespoon of sugar to the water and stir to dissolve.
4) Use thermometer to record the highest temperature of the boiling saltwater.
5) Repeat step one above except add two tablespoons of sugar to the water and stir to dissovle.
6) Use thermometer to record the highest temperature of the boiling saltwater.
IV. DATA TABLE/GRAPH

V. CONCLUSION: The conclusion is that our data does support our hypothesis. According to the data, adding a tablespoon of sugar raises .52o C. Therefore, the hypothesis was proven that adding sugar does affect the boiling temperature of water.
